After several exciting years as the Administrative Assistant for
a Louisiana Senator, Executive Assistant for a local Bank
President, and a career as a successful Real Estate Broker, Nell
has fulfilled a lifelong dream to study watercolor. Living in
France and England with new husband Jim, Nell studied with
artists abroad and returned to San Diego, becoming involved in
the local art community.
Color and dramatic impact has always been a passion for Nell.
For the past 6 years Nell has studied with many instructors,
including Elaine Harvey, Walter Bruning, Joe Garcia, Laura
Buckingham, Robert Burridge, Duane Light, Janet Walsh, Robbie
Laird and Joan McKasson.

Nell Bartlett was born in a small town in the Texas panhandle.
She grew up in San Diego, where she attended school, married and
raised her children. She is a licensed pilot, real estate
broker, fund raiser for local arts charities and a watercolor
artist. She has discovered a passion for color and spontaneous
composition through the mercurial nature of water-based paints,
and strives to express the wonder and joy found in flowers and
landscapes, as well as abstract impressions of ordinary things
in her world. |
